Christopher J. Hanke Set for Recurring Role on BIG LOVE

BroadwayWorld.com has learned that Christopher J. Hanke will be recurring in this next season of BIG LOVE. He is also set to guest star in an upcoming episode of BROTHERS AND SISTERS. Last year Christopher starred in CBS series THREE RIVERS. Previous to that, he was part of the critically acclaimed casts of HAIR and CRY-BABY on Broadway.

GLSEN Honors 'Modern Family' at Respect Awards, 10/8

GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, will honor the Emmy Award-winning hit ABC show, 'Modern Family,' at tomorrow night's Respect Awards - Los Angeles, Presented by Centropolis Entertainment at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Emmy winner Rob Reiner will present the show with the Inspiration Award, and America's favorite mom, Florence Henderson, currently appearing on 'Dancing with the Stars,' will be welcoming everyone to the gala. Also being honored are Out & Equal Workplace Advocates and the GLSEN Educator of the Year, presented by Sodexo.

O'Neil Center Names 2010 NPC Selections; Uhry et al. Named Playwrights in Residence

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center announced today that seven plays will be developed at the 2010 National Playwrights Conference under the leadership of artistic director Wendy C. Goldberg. The selected playwrights will spend the month of July at the O'Neill's Waterford, Connecticut campus developing and presenting staged readings of their work during the NPC's 46th season. Box office and online ticket sales open Wednesday, June 9; advance ticket sales will be available to O'Neill Members beginning Monday, May 17.

Chloe Sevigny Apologizes for 'Big Love' Bashing

As for Sevigny's relationship with HBO moving forward, according to the actress, things seem to be patched up. 'They accepted my apology. We have a great mutual respect for one another.'

STAGE TUBE: Trailer for Patrick Wilson's New Film 'Barry Munday'

Patrick Wilson's new film BARRY MUNDAY will premiere at the SXSW Film Festival 2010 on March 13. The film also stars Judy Greer, Chloe Sevigny, Jean Smart, Malcolm McDowell, Cybill Shepherd & Billy Dee Williams. The film was written and directed by Rock of Ages book writer Chris D'Arienzo and is based on the book 'Life is a Strange Place' by Frank Turner Hollon.

Parker, Cerveris, Sparks & Stormare to Star in HEDDA GABLER; Begins Jan. 09

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) has announced that Tony® award winner Mary-Louise Parker (Hedda Gabler), Tony® award winner Michael Cerveris (Jorgen Tesman), Paul Sparks (Ejlert Lovborg) and Peter Stormare (Judge Brack) in a new Broadway production of Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen. The production features a new adaptation by Christopher Shinn and will be directed by Ian Rickson.
