2nd Season Of At The Paley Center To Feature Glenn Close, Marlo Thomas

The Paley Center for Media and WNET will bring legendary voices and footage to New York metro area public television viewers in the second season of the interview series At the Paley Center premiering 8:30 p.m. on THIRTEEN beginning January 19th, Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m. on WLIW21 beginning on January 24 and Tuesdays at 10:00 p.m. on NJTV beginning on January 24.

CALLAWAY SISTERS At The Colony Hotel Palm Beach

These two incredibly talented sisters are longtime friends of the Royal Room. This will be Ann Hampton Callaway's seventh visit since 2002 and Liz Callaway's third engagement since 2005 - but the FIRST TIME that the two have appeared here together. They have recently been performing together in BOOM!, celebrating songs from the 60s and 70s.

Stephen Costello Returns to Vienna State Opera for L'elisir

Following a highly successful run of performances in the Metropolitan Opera's season-opening production of Donizetti's Anna Bolena, Stephen Costello returns to the Vienna State Opera for a second consecutive season, singing the role of Nemorino in another (and far more light-hearted) Donizetti opera, L'elisir d'amore.

MEMPHIS, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, et al. to Air on PBS' 'Great Performances' in 2012

PBS's 'Great Performances' series has just announced the schedule for their previously announced 2012 line-up, which is set to feature a slew of theatre productions. Included in the season is LET ME DOWN EASY- a one-woman show featuring Anna Deavere Smith airing January 13; MEMPHIS- featuring original stars Montego Glover and Chad Kimball airing February 24; and THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA- featuring Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess airing in March.

Netrebko Plays Donizetti's Anna Bolena on THIRTEEN's Great Performances

The Metropolitan Opera premiere of Donizetti's Anna Bolena, starring soprano Anna Netrebko in her highly anticipated first North American performances of the tour-de-force title role, will be the 2012 season opener of THIRTEEN's Great Performances at the Met Friday, January 20 at 9 p.m. ET on PBS (check local listings).

Julie Andrews to Host FROM VIENNA: THE NEW YEAR'S CELEBRATION, 1/1

Stage and screen legend Julie Andrews returns for the third time to host the merry annual New Year's celebration with the Vienna Philharmonic, under the direction of Mariss Jansons from Vienna's Musikverein. This is Jansons' second time at the podium of this much cherished event. The famed Vienna Boys' Choir will add their celestial voices to the gala.

CBS Announces New Name for Morning Broadcast, CBS THIS MORNING

CBS News has named its new morning broadcast CBS THIS MORNING. The broadcast, hosted by Charlie Rose, Gayle King and Erica Hill, will premiere on Monday, Jan. 9 (7:00-9:00AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Chris Licht, Vice President, Programming, CBS News, is the Executive Producer of CBS THIS MORNING. The name will take over for the former name, 'The Early Show'.

Talk Show Host Gayle King Quits OWN Network

Digitalspy.com reports that talk show host Gayle King will be leaving the Oprah Winfrey Network in order to focus on her upcoming role as co-anchor for the CBS morning talkfest, 'The Early Show'

MEMPHIS, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, et al. to be Featured on WNET's 'Great Performances'

As described in a brochure for WNET's 'Great Performances' series, the 2011-12 season will feature a slew of theatre productions. Included in the line-up is LET ME DOWN EASY- a one-woman show featuring Anna Deavere Smith, MEMPHIS- featuring original stars Montego Glover and Chad Kimball, and THE HANTOM OF THE OPERA- featuring Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess. Also included in this season will be Michael Tilson Thomas' THE THOMASHEFSKYS- starring Shuler Hensley and Judy Blazer, and 'The Divine Right'- a Sam Mendes miniseries about putting together Shakespeare's RICHARD II, HENRY IV Parts I & II and HENRY V. Air dates for the above programs have not yet been announced.

PBS to Air THE WAR WE ARE LIVING, PART 4, 11/1

On Tuesday night, November 1, PBS television stations across the country will broadcast an under-reported story from the frontlines of Colombia's resurging war, entitled, The War We are Living. This is the fourth part of a five-part series, Women War & Peace, a comprehensive television initiative exploring women's strategic role in conflict and peacebuilding. The program is narrated by actress Alfre Woodard.
