Digitalspy.com reports that talk show host Gayle King will be leaving the Oprah Winfrey Network in order to focus on her upcoming role as co-anchor of the CBS morning talkfest, 'The Early Show'

Last week, CBS announced that King will be joining PBS host Charlie Rose as a co-anchor for the revamped morning show in hopes that they will give a boost to their ratings and compete in the morning news show market against the Today show and Good Morning America. The revised Early Show will begin airing in January 2012.

As a result of King's commitment to CBS, she will be stepping down from both her Sirius/XM radio talk show and her interview show on pal Oprah Winfrey's Own network.

In a statement, OWN's Presidents Sheri Salata and Erik Logan said, "We are so happy for Gayle's opportunity of a lifetime. Although her show will not continue on OWN, we look forward to her joining us from time to time as her schedule allows."
