NBC's THE VOICE will deck the halls in early December with several popular singing stars - including NE-YO, Matchbox Twenty and Michael Buble - as well as fan-favorites Juliet Simms (Team CeeLo), Chris Mann (Team Christina) and RaeLynn (Team Blake) from the last cycle of the hit vocal competition series.

Ceelo is definitely a showman - but the concert proved to be more hype than substance. The entertainment factor was high --- the vocal prowess was not. Just like "The Wizard of Oz" --- if you took away all of the special effects that propped him up, the magical "man behind the curtain" was a bit disappointing.

The results shows are very fun, because it's an hour of variety in which the coaches actually get to show off why they are part of this singing show. This is something that distinguishes The Voice on NBC from other shows like it. Another fun part is that the contestants get to sing together, and they can relax because they are not being judged on their performance. Then of course there are the guest performers, like Rascal Flatts tonight. All of those elements were part of tonight's results show, which revealed the Top 8 by the end.
