More than 375 women -- leaders of industry, media, government, and the arts -- attended the Citymeals-on-Wheels 27th Annual 'Power Lunch for Women' at The Plaza Hotel on November 22, 2013. This by- invitation-only benefit, emceed by Katie Couric, is raised enough to provide more than 171,000 meals for New York's frail homebound aged. The Bob Woodruff Foundation and the New York Comedy Festival presented Stand Up for Heroes last night in New York City. The event, funded in part by the generosity of Veterans on Wall Street (VOWS) and supported by founding sponsor GFI Group, Inc., brought together celebrities, military, business and government leaders, service members and their families for a night of laughter and performances from A-list musicians and comedians, as well as wounded veterans, to raise funds for programs that the Bob Woodruff Foundation supports. The amount raised last night was more than $5 million -- a new record for the Stand Up for Heroes Event, now in its seventh year. The funds raised will benefit organizations across the country vetted by the Bob Woodruff Foundation for their effectiveness and success. To date, $21 million has been raised by the Stand Up for Heroes events.

The festival will once again bring laughs to all the boroughs in New York City, and adding several new venues. The 2013 festival line-up will be announced in August, at which time tickets will also go on sale. Additional shows will be added in the fall.

Rose Hall, Time Warner Center in New York City. This special performance is in celebration of the new entertainment benefits of Citi's ThankYou cards, and tickets can only be purchased with a Citi ThankYou credit card. 'Citi Presents Jerry Seinfeld' is the result of a collaboration between Citi and Carolines on Broadway's live entertainment division to bring more comedy to Citi cardmembers. Carolines on Broadway is producing the event for Citi.

In her show, "There's A Phantom in my Opera," a contemporary Victor Borge-style show, written and performed by a singer rather than a pianist, Tryon unites several different styles of music with comedy.

The Bob Woodruff Foundation(BWF) and the New York Comedy Festival are proud to announce that John Mayer and Roger Waters will perform at the 6th annual Stand Up for Heroes event on Thursday, Nov. 8, at the Beacon Theatre, in addition to previously announced performers Mike Birbiglia, Ricky Gervais, Patton Oswalt, Jon Stewart, Bruce Springsteen and Robin Williams. Roger Waters will be performing with a band comprised of military veterans.
