According to published reports, Broadway veterans Barbra Steisand will be honored with the L'Oréal Paris Legend Award at Elle's Women in Hollywood celebration. Additional honorees include: Viola Davis, Michelle Pfeiffer, Naomi Watts Jennifer Aniston, Frieda Pinto, Evan Rachel Wood, and Stacey Snider. NBC announced today that philanthropist, actress, author and creative director Nicole Richie -- along with admired American menswear designer John Varvatos -- will serve as celebrity mentors on 'Fashion Star,' the new reality competition series that will search for the next big brand in fashion. They join previously announced celebrity mentor Jessica Simpson and host Elle Macpherson.

This year's ball resembled 'traditional Viennese balls' and featured debutantes and classical music. In addition, the ball will open with a fashion show by Diane Von Furstenberg, Calvin Klein and Kenneth Cole. The Life Ball will be followed by an AIDS conference in Vienna, which will run from July 18 to July 23.
