Lisa Lambert is turning 50 and she's opening her trunk...of songs. Tonight, December 10 at 7pm, Lisa and her guests Jonathan Crombie, David Cromer, Cole Escola, Cady Huffman, Troy Britton Johnson, Beth Leavel, and Greg Morrison visit The Drowsy Chaperone, "Slings & Arrows," "Skippy's Rangers: The Show They Never Gave," and an assortment of her other delightful, sometimes misguided, musical comedy ventures. This concert will be part of the long-running Broadway at Birdland concert series, with all proceeds going to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

SILENCE! The Musical Enters Final Four Weeks of Performances

SILENCE! The Musical will end its 18-month run Sunday evening, December 30th at the Elektra Theatre. The production will have played a total of 447 performances and eight previews. Originally announced as a strictly limited engagement through August 13, 2011, SILENCE! was extended numerous times by popular demand and transferred theatres twice, ultimately landing at the new Elektra Theatre in the heart of Times Square, which was constructed especially for the show. SILENCE! spawned an L.A. production, which is currently running through this Sunday, December 9th at the Hayworth Theatre starring Davis Gaines and Christine Lakin.

Tony Award-Winner Dick Latessa, former Board Chair for Creative Alternatives of New York (CANY), a not-for-profit that uses drama therapy to help New York's most vulnerable children and adults has helped CANY assemble an Honorary Broadway Board. The ten inaugural members have been supporters of CANY, often giving their time and talent to annual fund-raising efforts. Several members have been honored at past CANY Galas and continue their support of CANY's mission by providing professional expertise as the organization expands its services to reach more children and adults than ever before.

Jose Llana (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) and Enrico Rodriguez (Zanna, Don't!, Rent) will star. Costs of Living, with book, music and lyrics by Timothy Huang, was a selection of Stephen Schwartz's 2012 ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop and a 2012 American Harmony Prize finalist.

Prospect Theater Company Postpones DEATH BY DESIGN Reading

Due to scheduling and transportation issues related to Hurricane Sandy, Prospect Theater Company has decide to postpone its one-night-only staged reading of Rob Urbinati's Death By Design, originally scheduled for Monday, November 5. A rescheduled date will be announced when available.
