‘A Night For Jennifer - West End' is a one-off charity gala concert in aid of Jennifer Charity, taking place at the Lyric Theatre - Shaftesbury Avenue, in the heart of London's West End on Monday 31st October 2011. Jennifer Charity was founded by James and Graham Edgington, father and son, following the death of Jennifer in 1985. Graham was left as a single parent of a 16 month old baby and not only did he have the pressure of bringing up James alone, he had to find his own time to grieve and work a full time job. Twenty-five years later James has extensively researched widowed fathers and was alarmed at the lack of supportive organisations aimed at widowers in particular. There are exceptional bereavement charities and organisations helping single parents often single mothers but nothing for men. James decided that he wanted to set up this charity as a support mechanism for widowed fathers and of course, importantly, the children affected by these circumstances.

The Old Globe has announced it's upcoming events from September through December. Among the theatre's offerings are THE TEMPEST, MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, and SOMEWHERE.

The cast of Engaging Shaw features Rod Brogan (George Bernard Shaw), Natalie Gold (Beatrice Webb), Angela Pierce (Charlotte Payne-Townshend) and Michael Warner (Sidney Webb).

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast Premiere of John Morogiello's comedy Engaging Shaw. Directed by Henry Wishcamper, Engaging Shaw will run July 29 - Sept. 4 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of The Old Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run July 29 - Aug. 3. The new Broadway production of George Bernard Shaw's play Mrs. Warren's Profession will star Tony Award winner Cherry Jones as 'Kitty Warren' & Golden Globe winner Sally Hawkins making her Broadway debut as 'Vivie Warren.' The production will be directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd St). The cast will also feature Adam Driver as 'Frank Gardner', Mark Harelik as 'Sir George Crofts', Edward Hibbert as 'Mr. Praed' & Michael Siberry as 'Reverend Samuel Gardner'.

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced The Old Globe's 2011 Summer Season. Adrian Noble will return as the Artistic Director of the Shakespeare Festival and direct Shakespeare's The Tempest and Peter Shaffer's Amadeus. Presented in repertory in the outdoor Lowell Davies Festival Theatre, the Festival will also include Much Ado About Nothing directed by Ron Daniels. The season also features Hershey Felder in Maestro: The Art of Leonard Bernstein in the Old Globe Theatre. Preceding Bernstein is a 10-day limited engagement of Hershey Felder in George Gershwin Alone. The West Coast Premiere of John Morogiello's romantic comedy, Engaging Shaw, in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre will complete the season.
