Tony Award®-winning librettist Arthur Laurents' Broadway direction will be recreated for the tour by David Saint, the associate director on Broadway. The Orlando return of Disney's THE LION KING opens tonight, April 19 at 8 p.m. at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre for a limited engagement of four weeks through May 13. In Orlando, THE LION KING plays Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8 p.m., Sunday evenings at 6:30 p.m., Saturday matinees at 2 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 1 p.m. There will be a 2:00pm matinee performance on Thursday, May 10.

Casting has been announced for the Orlando return engagement of Disney's THE LION KING. Orlando's eagerly awaited stage production will leap onto the Bob Carr stage from April 17 to May 13. The press opening night is Thursday, April 19 at 8 p.m. The show's six-week premiere engagement in 2006 played a sold-out run at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre.

The show welcomes a new leading man-stage and screen star Corbin Bleu (Disney's 'High School Musical,' Broadway's In the Heights)-to the starring role.
