Following the record-breaking box-office success of "Million Dollar Quartet," Bucks County Playhouse will present for the third time its signature production of "Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story" beginning Friday, February 8 through Sunday, March 3. The Playhouse's Executive Producer Robyn Goodman, Producing Director Alexander Fraser and Producers Stephen Kocis and Joshua Fiedler announced final casting for the production, that will once again be directed by Hunter Foster (BCP's "Million Dollar Quartet" and "42nd Street"), and choreographed by Lorin Latarro (Broadway's "Waitress"), both of whom are also Bucks County Playhouse Artistic Associates.

Totem Pole Playhouse, America's beloved summer theatre, located in Caledonia State Park between Gettysburg and Chambersburg, PA, will present the Tony Award-winning musical Ain't Misbehavin' beginning this Sunday, June 17th through July 1st. The show features the music of acclaimed American Jazz pianist, singer, and composer Thomas Wright "Fats" Waller and contains such classic songs as "Honeysuckle Rose," "The Joint is Jumpin'," "Keepin' Out of Mischief Now," "I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter," and "I Can't Give You Anything But Love," plus 25 other toe-tapping songs of the 1920s and 30s. Aint' Misbehavin' won the 1978 Tony Award for Best Musical and the 1988 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical, as well as a 1982 Emmy Award for Outstanding Musical or Variety Program. This is the first time this award-winning musical has ever been presented at Totem Pole Playhouse. Ain't Misbehavin' features a cast of five vocalists with a live jazz band on stage throughout the two-hour show.

New York City based theatre podcast, Your Program Is Your Ticket, was recently in Chargin Falls, Ohio for the benefit performance of Broadway Comes to Chargin! The star-studded gala paid tribute to community theatres with proceeds from the benefit going towards The Chargin Valley Little Theatre (CVLT).

As you know, February is Black History Month. We here at Broadway Sessions wanted to take a moment to reflect on the massive impact of African American legacy on Broadway and beyond. We rallied an incredible roster of some of Broadway's most fantastic voices to speak and sing on the subject. The result was moving and hilarious and powerful and poignant. And the singing? On Monday October 16, 16 Wicked women gathered in song in The Green Room 42. The Green Elixir Mixer was a one night only concert featuring some of the most iconic actresses to have ever played the roles of Glinda and Elphaba in Wicked. The lineup included original Broadway cast members, current cast members and so many in between.

Alyssa Fox, Brandi Chavonne Massey, Carrie St. Louis, Emily Mechler, Jenna Leigh Green, Jessica Vosk, Julia Murney, Kara Lindsay, Kate Loprest, Kate Reinders, Kennedy Caughell, Kristy Cates, Laura Woyasz, Laurel Harris, Lauren Zakrin and other surprise guests are scheduled to perform in a Green Elixir Mixer: A Reunion of past and present witches of Oz.

Full casting details for the smash summer musical Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story have been announced prior to runs at both Bucks County Playhouse and the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. Details of the performers, who will appear in both presentations, were released by Bucks County Playhouse's Executive Producer Robyn Goodman, Producing Director Alex Fraser, and Producers Stephen Kocis and Josh Fiedler. Directed by Tony nominee Hunter Foster with choreography by Lorin Latarro, Buddy will first run at the Bucks County Playhouse from May 27 through June 17 and will then transfer to the Kimmel Center's Perelman Theater on June 24 for previews, with the official opening June 28. The show will run at the Kimmel Center through July 9.

Our salute to all things Wicked, featuring all women who have played the famously misunderstood green girl, Elphaba. Our 2nd annual ElphaBall was in a word, magic.

Trent Armand Kendall (host of TRENT ARMAND KENDALL Broadway Download, City World Radio) is host and producer of an outdoor, summer concert series at Pier Village, Long Branch, NJ.
