As she completes her first year as Artistic Director of Theatr Clwyd, Tamara Harvey today announces the 2017 Summer and Autumn seasons for the company. These include four world premieres; BoHo, a co-production with Hijinx Theatre which features both learning disabled and non-disabled actors, and, after a successful collaboration on the production of Love Lies and Taxidermy, Theatr Clwyd reunites with Paines Plough to open the 2017 Roundabout Season with co-productions of Black Mountain, Out Of Love and How To Be A Kid in collaboration with the Orange Tree Theatre. The Theatr Clwyd and Sheffield Theatres co-production of a new adaptation of Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya, by Welsh Playwright Peter Gill, will be directed by Harvey and will open at Clwyd from the 21 September ahead of transferring to Sheffield Theatres as part of Robert Hastie's inaugural season.

The cast has been announced for Brad Birch's new play THE BRINK at Orange Tree Theatre. Alice Haig, Vince Leigh, Shvorne Marks and Ciarán Owens will lead the world premiere, directed by Mel Hillyard as recipient of the J.P. Morgan Emerging Director Award 2015, with designs from Hyemi Shin, and sound design and composition by Tom Gibbons. The show runs April 7-30, and is a co-production between the Orange Tree and W14 Productions, in association with the National Theatre Studio.

It offers 15 of Britain's most talented young actors eight months of free training and mentoring, culminating in a 10 week residency at the Ambassadors Theatre. Battersea's Theatre503 and Anchra Productions will debut the first play by acclaimed actress Annie Hulley titlted DOG DAYS. The piece will run at the south London venue from today 25 February through Saturday 22 March. DOG DAYS is a dark comedy about love, loss and real estate and is directed by Theatre503 Associate Artistic Director Lisa Cagnacci. Annie, best known as a stage and screen actress, has turned to writing in order to create more characters for older actresses.

Literary Manager Steve Harper has invited a diverse range of writers including established playwrights, members of the venues 503Five writers in residence scheme, and a newly discovered first time playwright, to contribute. THATCHERWRITE will run from 11 - 15 June at Theatre503, above the Latchmere pub in Battersea.
