HERO Theatre's first production will be on Monday August 8, 2011, 7PM at the Baryshnikov Arts Center. Hosted by Academy?award winner Olympia Dukakis, the newly formed company will present a special staged reading of Anton Chekhov's 'Three Sisters' directed by Obie?award winner Lisa Peterson.

Those summer nights are going to last just a little longer as Olney Theatre Center extends its production of Grease before it even opens. Bobby Smith returns to direct what can be called the original high school musical.

Stuart Matthew Price and James Yeoburn gather the West End's finest for a one-off celebratory gala at the West End home of Andrew Lloyd Webber's hit musical, The Phantom of the Opera. A press release issued in May 2011 announcing that Dress Circle was facing imminent closure caused a phenomenal response from theatre lovers who were saddened by the possibility of losing the 'Greatest Showbiz Shop in the World'. The shop was founded in 1978 with the intention of providing an unrivalled selection of musical theatre and cabaret related merchandise. After celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2008, Dress Circle claims to be the longest running show business and musical theatre shop in the world.

Actress Penny Johnson Jerald (Sherry Palmer on '24') has joined the hit series 'Castle' as a series regular for Season 4. She'll make her debut in the season premiere, airing MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on ABC.

Dress Circle has just announce that tickets for the celebratory gala are now on sale. The gala as produced by Stuart Matthew Price and James Yeoburn, will be performed on Sunday 7th August 2011 at Her Majesty's Theatre in London, the West End home of Andrew Lloyd Webber's hit musical Phantom of the Opera.

In its latest high-profile acquisition, TNT has secured the exclusive off-network cable rights to the hit series, Castle, from Disney-ABC Domestic Television. Castle, which just completed its third highly rated season on ABC, is a crime drama starring Nathan Fillion (Firefly, Desperate Housewives) and Stana Katic (Quantum of Solace, TNT's The Librarian: Curse of the Judas Chalice).

The Phoenix Theatre of Indianapolis announces Avenue Q, opening June 2 and playing through July 10, 2011 on the Phoenix Mainstage. Avenue Q, with music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx and original story by Jeff Whitty, opened off-Broadway at the Vineyard Theatre in March 2003, where it gained rave reviews, and was extended four times. The Phoenix is the first regional, professional theatre to produce Avenue Q, winner of the 2004 Tony for Best Musical, with a local professional cast and crew.

Broadway's WONDERLAND played its final performance this Sunday, May 15 at 3pm at the Marquis Theatre in front of a packed house including many Broadway notables. The show played 31 previews and 33 regular performances. WONDERLAND began previews Monday, March 21 and opened Sunday, April 17. The production will play a National tour. Town Players of Newtown is pleased to open its 2011 season with the hilarious, fast-paced British farce CASH ON DELIVERY! by Michael Cooney. The play closes May 22.

We opened the Marquee Lounge! The lounge is open Fri & Sat from 5-mindight. Designed by Kroiz Architecture LLC (Gabriel Kroiz) and PI.KL Studio LLC (Kuo Pao Lian and Pavlina Ilieva), the Marquee Lounge is finished with materials typical of Southeast Baltimore; a white marble bar, rolled steel details and salvaged wood finishes.

Darren proposed to Janet on stage right after the curtain call with the entire audience in the house. Janet screamed 'I said yes!' In the audience, there were tears of joy mixed with the sadness for the show closing. Now, the first videos are making their way onto YouTube!
