Evans, presents the second-ever production of The Commons of Pensacola by Amanda Peet, directed by Robin Witt. The Country House began previews June 3, in the Gil Cates Theater at the Geffen Playhouse, and officially opened June 11. The play, a new comedy about a deeply dramatic family, was written by Donald Margulies and was his sixth Geffen Production, including Dinner With Friends, Coney Island Christmas, Times Stands Still, and Sight Unseen. The Country House closes today.
