???????Olathe Civic Theatre Association is pleased to announce the five finalists whose work will be showcased during the theatre's inaugural New Works Playwright Competition March 10 and 11. Audiences will see short teasers of scripts submitted by local playwrights earlier this season and will vote for the script that will receive a full workshop at OCTA this summer. The winner will be announced following the second night of the competition.

The 1960's cult classic "The Graduate" is the next production at the Barn Players - opening Friday evening, May 27th and playing through Sunday matinee June 12th at the Barn Players Theatre, 6219 Martway in Mission; the play is rated "R".

Do you love Greek tragedy but wish it was funnier, and set in the late 60's, with fabulous clothes? "Die, Mommie, Die!" by famed playwright and drag legend Charles Busch is a production from House of DeVille and features Kansas City drag legend De De DeVIlle in the title role. The production runs October 2 through October 17, 2015 at the Musical Theatre Heritage Theatre in Crown Center, Kansas City, Missouri.

Noises Off, the hilarious farce on theater by Michael Frayn, opened Friday night July 18 at the Barn Players in Mission, Kan. Frayn wrote the 1982 play after watching from the wings of a play he had written for Lynn Redgrave. He said, "It was funnier from behind than in front, and I thought that one day I must write a farce from behind."

'NOISES OFF' is Michael Frayn's uproarious play-within-a-play that follows the high-jinks and stage antics of a not so talented theatre touring company's cast as they blunder through a side-splitting bedroom comedy titled 'Nothing On', with very bad dress rehearsals, crazy backstage antics and a disastrous performance of the show - its simply a festival of delirium.
