BROADWAY BARKS announces their 17th annual star-studded dog and cat adoption event to benefit New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Founded by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore, this event features celebrities from the hottest shows on Broadway.  The event, produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, will take place on Saturday, July 11 in Shubert Alley (located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue). The festivities begin at 3:00 p.m. where you meet all the adoptable dogs and cats; celebrity presentations of adoptable pets will take place between 5:00-6:30 p.m. This year's event will be co-hosted by Bernadette Peters and Andrew Rannells (The Book of Mormon, HBO's 'Girls'). The event is free and open to the public.

A month after FUN HOME's Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron made history at the 2015 Tony Awards, the Broadway production has taken a look back at the big night in a new celebratory montage, titled 'See It To Be It.' Check it out below!

The 20th edition of the Lincoln Center Festival, which runs through August 2, 2015 will unfold in six venues on and off the Lincoln Center campus. There will be a total of 58 performances by artists and ensembles from Germany, China, England, Ireland, Russia, USA, and Japan.

Dear readers, it had been about a year since my previous trip back to the Mothership (a.k.a. New York) and I felt it was time for a recharge of my Broadway batteries, even if it could only be a quickie. Well let me tell you there is plenty of awesome happening out there to catch. Broadway's celebration of the SCOTUS ruling to legalize gay marriage ranged from in-depth Facebook posts to public speeches. Aspen, Colorado (October 20, 2014) Theatre Aspen announced today that the organization has received seven nominations for the Colorado Theatre Guild (CTG) Henry Awards, for their 2014 summer season of productions, which included The Full Monty (by Terrence McNally and David Yazbek), Little Women, the Musical (by Mindi Dickstein, Jason Howland and Allan Knee) and the new play, The Cottage, by Sandy Rustin.

The New York Civil Liberties Union, the New York State affiliate of the ACLU, announced today a star-studded lineup of award-winning performers for its annual benefit concert. The original Broadway version of Kander and Ebb's Tony-nominated musical THE VISIT closes today, June 14, 2015. The Visit began performances at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street) on Thursday, March 26 and officially opened on Thursday, April 23.
