When Shen Wei decided to present a season at the Judson Memorial Church, April 29-May 4, he faced a problem. This famed lover of the grand scale would not be able to hang his set for "Map" performances, well, not if he wanted his audience seated on all four sides. However, Shen Wei Dance Arts' season, which also features the world premiere of a solo for the choreographer, shows that when there's a will, Shen Wei finds a way.

American Theater Company concludes the 2013-2014 Season with Hair, music & lyrics by James Rado & Gerome Ragni and music by Galt MacDermot. Hair will be directed by Artistic Director PJ Paparelli with Music Direction by Austin Cook, and will run May 6 - June 29, 2014 at American Theater Company, 1909 W Byron St, Chicago, IL. MetroStage will be producing its first In Rep series this spring featuring two one man shows The Thousandth Night by Carol Wolf starring Marcus Kyd (Apr. 3-May 18) and Underneath the Lintel by Glen Berger starring Paul Morella (Apr. 17-May 25.) Both will be directed by John Vreeke.

Three Cat Productions presents the world premiere production of the musical revue Hang Your Hat at Mister Kelly's at the Chicago Park District's Berger Park Coach House Theater at 6205 N. Sheridan Road (Edgewater by Granville el stop on Red Line). Hang Your Hat at Mister Kelly's explores the famed Chicago Rush Street supper club through the eyes of Winston a former Mister Kelly's employee. Transporting back to the 1950s, 60s and 70s, Winston recalls the legendary performers of Barbra, Ella, Jackie, Barry and many more.

HAIR, at Washington, DC's Keegan Theatre, features an exuberant cast, clever staging and direction, rollicking music, and nostalgia, but some of the directors' choices are questionable.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) is calling for applications to the BAFTA Scholarship Programme

Following a sold-out show in January, Broadway Melodies returns to the West End Theater for an all-new comedy spectacular. The show will consist of three 20-minute musical sketch comedies. This month's event will include Into the Globe by Lori Mannette, You're a Good Man, Charlie Sheen by Becca Anderson, and Love Never Dies: the LIVE Movie Musical by Victoria Saxton.

Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that Kinky Boots, the Tony Award-winning musical, will celebrate its 100,000th fan 'Like' on Facebook by offering free tickets to lottery entrants for the week of March 18-23, 2014. For this week only, the production will offer 10 pairs of free tickets to each performance, in place of the regular $37 lottery price.

Pioneer Theatre Company presents the second installment in its new play reading series, called Play-By-Play: A Public Education by Jeff Talbott tonight and tomorrow, March 14 and 15, 2014. Guest artist Shana Gold directs the production.
