A Confederate deserter, John Carter's world is turned upside-down when he finds himself mysteriously transported to the surface of Mars, where he is forced into a colossal conflicts between the planet's alien races. Poised on the edge of collapse, the planet's fate comes to rest on Carter's war-weary shoulders-and now he must choose sides. Filled with extra-terrestrial environments, epic battles, elaborate costuming and more, A Princess of Mars at Berger Park promises to whisk you away on an unforgettable theatrical adventure.

The Cultural Services of the French Embassy and the French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF) are pleased to announce programming for the second annual Tilt Kids Festival. With five world premieres and four U.S. debuts, the multidisciplinary festival presents adventurous and playful new work for families from artists spanning the globe. Douglas Post's Forty-Two Stories, a comedy set in a Lake Shore Drive high-rise condominium, will receive its world premiere full production as the third show in City Lit Theatre's 2016-17 season. The press opening will be Sunday, April 23rd at 3 pm following previews from April 14-22nd.

Broken Nose Theatre's second year as a Pay-What-You-Can theatre company continues with the Midwest Premiere of AT THE TABLE by Michael Perlman, following the play's Off-Broadway world premiere. Helmed by BNT Director of Programming Spenser Davis, the production runs through March 11 at the Berger Park Coach House, 6205 N. Sheridan. After record-setting pre-sales, a Jeff Committee recommendation and a sold-out Opening Weekend, the show launches into its second weekend tonight. Kelli O'Hara, Jonas Kaufmann, Joyce DiDonato Will Highlight Met Opera's 2017-18 Season

The Metropolitan Opera's 2017-18 season will feature 220 performances of 26 works, including two Met premieres, one co-commissioned by the company and one an older masterpiece having its first Met performances; a variety of repertory favorites, three in new productions; and performances of Verdi's towering concert work for soloists, orchestra, and chorus, the Requiem. Of note, Broadway star Kelli O'Hara is set to return to the Met in Così fan tutte this season.
MTC 2017-18 Season to Include Dominique Morisseau's SKELETON CREW

Marin Theatre Company's artistic director Jasson Minadakis and managing director Keri Kellerman are thrilled to announce that Dominique Morisseau's Skeleton Crew-winner of MTC's 2014 Sky Cooper New American Play Prize and the third installment in Morisseau's 3-play cycle, The Detroit Projects-will be co-produced with TheatreWorks Silicon Valley as a part of MTC's 51st mainstage season. MTC will send out a press release with the full lineup for the 2017-18 season once all remaining plays are confirmed.
