TITANIC: THE MUSICAL is just the sort of production that's perfectly suited to the vast expanse the Muny provides. After all, it's a big show, and there's no space quite as mammoth in size and scope as the Muny stage. And, I'm happy to report that their current presentation is a grand and entertaining spectacle that's powered by a top notch cast and sharp direction.

The cast and crew of SHREK THE MUSICAL, the Tony Award-winning production, celebrated the show's one year anniversary on Broadway with a reception on stage at the Broadway Theatre on Sunday, November 8th after the matinee performance. Cupcakes were provided to the cast by CRUMBS Bake Shop. The production also said goodbye to original 'SHREK' star Brian d'Arcy James who played his final performance in the title role yesterday as well.
Beginning November 10th, Ben Crawford has been performing the title role of ‘Shrek'. Crawford replaces Tony Award® nominee Brian d'Arcy James, who departed after the performance on Sunday, November 8th to appear in Manhattan Theatre Club's production of Time Stands Still.

Broadway Classroom will present its next workshop in the new 'Putting it All Together' series on Saturday, December 5, 2009. Taught by Broadway stars Melissa Rae Mahon (CHICAGO, THE PRODUCERS, 42ND STREET) and Sean McKnight (CURTAINS), this innovative 3½-hour workshop includes audition techniques, musical theatre song and movement, and a Q&A with Broadway professionals, as well as lunch at Applebees and a ticket to see SHREK THE MUSICAL.
