The Annenberg Center and NextMove Dance present Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers (KYL/D) in its highly-anticipated Annenberg Center debut, April 12 (8 PM) and April 13 (2 PM). Hailed for its superbly trained dancers and inventive choreography, Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers' artistry is a hybrid of Asian philosophies and Western culture infused with a fearless physicality that resonates with the soul, resulting in lush works of poetic sensibility. The New York Times writes "Lin's dances, simultaneously abstract and specific, create and inhabit worlds of their own." In AFTERGLOW, an off-Broadway hit from 2017 exploring the emotional, intellectual, and physical connections between three men and the broader implications within their relationships, Rich Holton (SEX WITH STRANGERS at Citadel Theatre) and Jacob Barnes  (URINETOWN at Red Barn Summer Playhouse and A COMEDY OF TENORS with Actors Theatre of Indiana) play Josh and Alex, a married couple in an open relationship.

Singer Tennie Leonard returns to Don't Tell Mama with her new show, I Love Being Here With You, for three dates, Tuesday, April 9th and Wednesday, April 17th at 7pm and Sunday, May 5th at 4pm. The show, with Tennie and her long time collaborators, Director Scott Barnes and Musical Director Ian Herman, is a celebration of survival, life choices and how music makes it all possible.

Now in its 73rd year, the Limón Dance Company continues to garner fresh interest for its performances of both new works and American classics.  The May 29-June 2 season at The Joyce Theater will feature two Limón classics: The Moor's Pavane andPsalm, along with The Weather in the Room by company Artistic Director Colin Connor; and Radical Beasts in the Forest of Possibilities by guest choreographer Francesca Harper, with an originial score composed and performed live by Nona Hendryx.

Full casting has been announced for the American premiere of INK, written by Olivier Award winner James Graham (Labour of Love, Privacy, Finding Neverland) and directed by two-time Olivier Award winner, Tony and BAFTA Award nominee Almeida Theatre Artistic Director Rupert Goold (King Charles III).

Folsom Lake College welcomes actor, producer and humanitarian Danny Glover to the Harris Center in a lecture moderated by KFBK's Kitty O'Neal. A commanding presence on screen, stage, and television for more than 25 years, Danny Glover's film credits range from the blockbuster Lethal Weapon franchise to the Oscar-nominated hit Dreamgirls, to smaller independent features — some of which Glover also produced. The son of civil rights activists, he has gained respect and renown for his wide-reaching community activism and philanthropic efforts, and currently serves as an Ambassador for UNICEF.

To celebrate the 5th anniversary of Aladdin on Broadway, 5 current and former Genies stopped the show following today's matinee with a medley of Aladdin hits at the New Amsterdam Theatre. The 5 Genies were Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart, current star Michael James Scott, tour Genie Major Attaway, and current Broadway Genie standbys Juwan Crawley and Deonte L. Warren.

MCC Theater will soon present the New York Premiere production of BLKS, written by Aziza Barnes, and directed by Robert O'Hara. SHOWTIME has released the official key art and trailer for its new feature-length documentary THE RESURGENCE: DeMARCUS COUSINS, premiering on Saturday, April 13 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The SHOWTIME Sports Documentary Films original chronicles Cousins, the Golden State Warriors' power forward, through his grueling comeback from a career-threatening injury and his path through free agency. THE RESURGENCE: DeMARCUS COUSINS provides unfettered access to one of the NBA's biggest personalities at the most crucial time of his career.

Joan Jaffe revisits the classic ladies of jazz in her show, Little Girl Blue, an intimate show of new and classic songs, with a guest appearance by Charles Baran, and actor/comedian, Kuni Mikamion piano. Little Girl Blue, plays at Don't Tell Mama on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 7 pm. Jaffe explores the classic songs and standards of the great female artists June Christy, Carmen McRae, Cleo Laine and Rosemary Clooney, and the music of composers ranging from Rogers and Hart to Leonard Bernstein.

Grab your dance shoes, because Billy Elliot: The Musical is coming to town! Billy Elliot, a heartfelt story about a boy with a seemingly impossible dream, runs at Garden Theatre April 26 - May 26, 2019. Directed by Rob Winn Anderson, the production features local and national talent.

Park City Institute presents award-winning contemporary dance company, PARSONS DANCE, this Saturday, March 30th, at 7:30 pm. The show is the final performance in PCI's 2018-19 Main Stage Season at the George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Center for the Performing Arts, in Park City.

Westport Country Playhouse's Family Festivities Series will present "Angelina Ballerina The Musical," on Sunday, April 7. Based on the animated series, "Angelina Ballerina The Next Steps," the show is produced by Vital Theatre Company.
