The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team of Red Velvet by Lolita Chakrabarti.

The new racially-charged drama Detroit Blues announces their 29 hour reading, which will be directed by Obie award-winning Leah C. Gardiner (Public Theater, Soho Rep), written by Patrice Cassedy, with casting by Tara Rubin Casting. The readings will be held at Theatre 54 at Shetler Studios (244 West 54th Street - 12 Floor) on Friday, March 10th at 12pm and 3:00pm.

Producers Paul Blake and Mike Bosner, in conjunction with San Francisco's SHN (Greg Holland, Chief Executive Officer) announced principal casting today for the pre-Broadway engagement of ROMAN HOLIDAY - The Cole Porter Musical, the new musical premiering as part of SHN's 2017 Season this summer.

Cherry Lane Theatre has announced casting for the second production of the Obie award-winning MENTOR PROJECT 2017 now in its 19th season. Nathan Yungerberg's ESAI'S TABLE, will be presented at Cherry Lane (38 Commerce St.) from March 22 - April 1, 2017, it has been announced by Seri Lawrence and Janio Marrero, MENTOR PROJECT's Producing Artistic Directors. Angelina Fiordellisi is Cherry Lane's Founding Artistic Director.

Route 66 Theatre Company will launch its ninth season with the world premiere of Gabe McKinley's psychological drama THE SOURCE, directed by Jason Gerace, playing March 2 - April 2, 2017 at The Den Theatre, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago.

Labyrinth Theater Company presents the world premiere of the witty and socially poignant production of Dolphins and Sharks by upcoming playwright James Anthony Tyler. Atlantic Theater Company presents the world premiere play The Penitent, by Atlantic's Pulitzer Prize-winning co-founder David Mamet, directed by artistic director Neil Pepe. The Penitent features Lawrence Gilliard Jr. ('The Walking Dead,' The Machinist, 'The Wire') and Atlantic Theater Company ensemble members Chris Bauer ('True Blood,' Broadway's A Streetcar Named Desire, 'The Wire'), Jordan Lage (Broadway's Glengarry Glen Ross, Speed-the-Plow, Race), and Rebecca Pidgeon (The Spanish Prisoner, 'The Unit,' Broadway's The Old Neighborhood).

Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Bryan Fenkart in a return engagement on February, 28 at 9:30pm. Fenkart will be joined by special guests F. Michael Haynie (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Sydney Morton (American Psycho) and Ephraim Sykes (Hairspray Live, Hamilton).
