THIS IS US Scribe and Neil LaBute Among Writers of THE OTHER PLAYS

Theater Breaking Through Barriers, who scored a hit this past summer with Samuel D. Hunter's The Healing, will kick off its 38th season with the World Premiere of THE OTHER PLAYS: SHORT PLAYS ABOUT THE OTHERNESS IN OUR SOCIETY, a bill of new short works by playwrights Dennis A. Allen II, Bekah Brunstetter (a Writers Guild Award nominee for This Is Us), Lameece Isaaq, Neil LaBute and Tatiana Rivera. This evening of short plays exploring the themes of race, religion, sexual identity, and social otherness begins previews on March 10 at the Jeffrey and Paula Gural Theatre at The A.R.T./New York Theatres. Opening night is set for Thursday, March 16.

Artists Rep presents Horror Genre-Inspired Comedy FEATHERS AND TEETH

Artists Repertory Theatre presents the Northwest Premiere of  FEATHERS AND TEETH by Charise Castro Smith, directed by Artistic Director Damaso Rodriguez. Previews performances begin March 7, the play opens March 11 and runs through April 2 on the Morrison Stage.

WONDERLAND Gets a Rock & Roll Makeover at ATC Kids, Starting Today

The Atlantic for Kids 2016/2017 Season will resume today, March 4, with the family rock concert meets live theater adventure Wonderland: Alice's Rock & Roll Adventure, a New York premiere musical based on Lewis Carroll's beloved Alice and Wonderland tales, featuring book and lyrics by Rachel Rockwell, music and lyrics by Michael Mahler, and direction by Marshall Pailet.

Racially-Charged Drama DETROIT BLUES Gets NYC Reading at Shetler Studios

The new racially-charged drama Detroit Blues announces their 29 hour reading, which will be directed by Obie award-winning Leah C. Gardiner (Public Theater, Soho Rep), written by Patrice Cassedy, with casting by Tara Rubin Casting. The readings will be held at Theatre 54 at Shetler Studios (244 West 54th Street - 12 Floor) on Friday, March 10th at 12pm and 3:00pm.

Cherry Lane Theatre Announces Casting For The Second Play Of The 2017 Mentor Project

Cherry Lane Theatre has announced casting for the second production of the Obie award-winning MENTOR PROJECT 2017 now in its 19th season. Nathan Yungerberg's ESAI'S TABLE, will be presented at Cherry Lane (38 Commerce St.) from March 22 - April 1, 2017, it has been announced by Seri Lawrence and Janio Marrero, MENTOR PROJECT's Producing Artistic Directors. Angelina Fiordellisi is Cherry Lane's Founding Artistic Director.

Cast Announced for Route 66 Theatre Co.'s THE SOURCE World Premiere

Route 66 Theatre Company will launch its ninth season with the world premiere of Gabe McKinley's psychological drama THE SOURCE, directed by Jason Gerace, playing March 2 - April 2, 2017 at The Den Theatre, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago.
