MOMA Screens QUADRANGLE During New Directors New Films 2010

Amy Grappell's short documentary, QUADRANGLE, will be making its New York premiere at MOMA's New Directors New Films 2010. QUADRANGLE is currently screening at SXSW where it garnered the Short Documentary Jury Prize and the Wholphin Best Short Award. The film also won an Honorable Mention at Sundance Film Festival 2010. The film World Premiered at the Rotterdam Int. Film Festival 2010.

Photo Flash: Pacific Stages Presents SOMETHING HAPPENED by L. Trey Wilson, 4/1-5/16

Pacific Stages will follow up their debut production of Lobby Hero with the world premiere of Something Happened, by award-winning playwright L. Trey Wilson. Something Happened runs April 1 through May 16 at Pacific Stages in El Segundo and will be directed by L. Trey Wilson. The press opening begins April 8 and there will be an opening reception Saturday, April 10.

Sydney Theatre's STOCKHOLM Opens March 17 at The Wharf

Sydney Theatre Company collaborates with British physical theatre innovators Frantic Assembly for the razor-sharp Stockholm by Bryony Lavery (Frozen) at The Wharf, opening on 17 March 2010, followed by a tour that takes in Parramatta and Brisbane.

Japan Society Features 'Mad, Bad' Women of Japense Cinema, 3/31-4/18

Japan Society's spring Globus Film Series Mad, Bad... & Dangerous to Know: Three Untamed Beauties of Japanese Cinema celebrates some of the most radical portrayals of Japanese women in film history by three iconic actresses. From March 31 through April 18, the 13-film series unfolds in three parts over three weeks: Ayako Wakao: Passion Made Flesh, Meiko Kaji: A Mad, Bad Unholy Easter Weekend; and Mariko Okada: The Discreet Charm of the Adulteress. General admission to each screening is $11/$7 Japan Society members, students & seniors. Tickets to the March 31 opening screening, Tattoo (Irezumi) are $15/$10 Japan Society members, students & seniors, and include entry to the DRESSED TO KILL! after party.

Sydney Theatre Announces Earlier Start Time for STOCKHOLM On 3/27

Please note due to Earth Hour on Saturday 27 March the following production at the Wharf will have an early starting time: STOCKHOLM- Wharf 1, Sydney Theatre Company Saturday 27 March - Matinee at 2pm and Evening show (early starting time) at 7pm.

Juliette Binoche and Akram Khan To Dance On UK Stage

Screen actress Juliette Binoche and Akdram Khan have started a new contemporary dance theater piece called In-I. The piece will have its premiere at the National Theater where it will run from September 18th through October 9th 2008 before departing on a national tour.
