The internationally acclaimed Maly Drama Theatre of St. Petersburg return to London for the first time in over a decade to play a highly anticipated ten-show engagement, opening at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket on May 8th. Described by Peter Brook as 'the finest ensemble theatre in Europe', casting is today announced for their forthcoming UK premiere of Vasily Grossman's magnum opus, Life and Fate, and their critically acclaimed production of Anton Chekov's Uncle Vanya.

Three notable Dallas theatrical professionals have joined forces to launch a production company dedicated to mounting 19th and 20th century classics, The Classics Theatre Project. Founded by Gregory Patterson, he brings with him to the helm as Executive Director forty years of experience in nonprofit arts management including the last nine heading up development, marketing and administrative operations for WaterTower Theatre, where he collaborated with Terry Martin to produce more than forty productions.

Long Beach Playhouse Announces 2017 Studio Season

On April 29 Long Beach Playhouse Studio Theatre opens its 2017 season. Opened in 1963, the upstairs space has become the Playhouse counterpoint to the more traditional offerings on the Mainstage. The Studio's proscenium stage in the 98-seat theatre feels intimate and inviting. Although a smaller theatre than the Mainstage there is no less attention given to the quality of its productions.
