Tony Nominee Laura Osnes to Join Steven Pasquale in Lyric Opera of Chicago's CAROUSEL

Lyric Opera of Chicago announced today that Laura Osnes will star as Julie Jordan in Lyric's new production of Carousel, on stage April 11 through May 3, 2015. Osnes comes to Lyric following her Tony-nominated role in Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella on Broadway. She joins Steven Pasquale, who stars as Billy Bigelow, in this new production directed and choreographed by legendary Tony, Emmy, and Olivier Award winner Rob Ashford.

Share This! Appropriation After Cynicism, curated by Elizabeth Denny, is an exhibition of artists who appropriate the work of other artists. Running from December 14 through January 25, it is a continuation of programming at Denny Gallery that explores alternative modes of exchange between artists, collectors, curators, and exhibitors. Share This! Appropriation After Cynicism will feature work by Brent Birnbaum, Lily Cox-Richard, Matthew Craven, Sean Fader, Nikolai Ishchuk, Michael Mandiberg, Adam Parker Smith, Jordan Tate, and Ana Teles.

Gillian Wearing's EVERYONE Exhibition Opens Today at Regen Projects

Regen Projects is pleased to announce everyone, an exhibition of multimedia work by British artist Gillian Wearing. The exhibition debuts two new videos - We Are Here and Fear and Loathing - the latter of which is the artist's first work produced in the United States. In addition to videos, the show will also feature photographs and sculptures. This will be Wearing's fourth solo presentation at the gallery. The show will run today, December 13, 2014 - January 24, 2015. Opening Reception: Tonight, December 13, 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Gallery Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.

BSO to Perform Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, 1/2-4

Maestro Nicholas McGegan and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) will ring in the New Year with a performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 on Friday, January 2 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, January 4 at 3 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall and Saturday, January 3 at 8 p.m. at The Music Center at Strathmore. McGegan will lead the Orchestra in Beethoven's final symphony with the well-known "Ode to Joy," along with Beethoven's rarely performed Opferlied, his King Stephen Overture and Haydn's The Storm. The Committee + AKArt Opens THE PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW Today

Red Bull Theater to Present SHAKESPEARE AND THE JACOBEANS ON FILM in January

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) is proud to announce a new scholarship opportunity for students graduating from the School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA), Cincinnati's world-class public arts school. This scholarship will be offered to the top SCPA student who successfully applies for admission to CCM each year.
