Baryshnikov Arts Center Presents Quodlibet Ensemble: Biber, Martynov + Sharlat

Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) concludes its Fall 2018 season on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 7:30pm with Quodlibet Ensemble: Music by Biber, Martynov + Sharlat at BAC's Jerome Robbins Theater (450 W. 37th Street). Quodlibet (Latin for 'whatever pleases') Ensemble is a string chamber orchestra of some of today's most sought-after musicians who come from top string quartets as well as period and new music groups. Highlighting their musical diversity, the ensemble performs an eclectic evening of classical music that spans different time periods and styles.

UCLA Acquires Crest Theater

The UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture along with its performing arts program, the Center for the Art of Performance, announces the acquisition of the Crest Theater on Westwood Boulevard, a landmark venue that will be transformed into a new off-campus performing arts space that will serve as an important addition to UCLA's rich offering of cultural venues and resources across the city.

St. James Becomes First In San Diego To Offer Musical Compline-by-Candlelight Series

St. James by-the-Sea in La Jolla will become the first church in San Diego to offer a regular Compline-by-Candlelight service set to music, an opportunity for anyone in the community to spend half an hour in quiet contemplation and calm set to beautiful choral singing. MTV Launches First-Ever 'MTV EMA Generation Change Award'

J.K. Simmons, Bob Costas, Martha Plimpton to Guest Star on BROCKMIRE

IFC today announced details and guest stars for Season 3 of Brockmire, the critically acclaimed comedy series starring Hank Azaria as Jim Brockmire, the garrulous, recently-sober baseball announcer who's climbing his way back to the major leagues. Produced by Funny or Die, Brockmire is currently in production in Atlanta and will return to IFC in spring 2019 with eight all-new episodes. Returning stars include Amanda Peet as Jules, Brockmire's ex-girlfriend, Tyrel Jackson Williams as Charles, Brockmire's entrepreneurial best friend and Becky Ann Baker as Jean Brockmire, his weathered and tough-love older sister.

Kennedy Center Presents Companhia De Dança Deborah Colker

Internationally acclaimed Brazilian choreographer Deborah Colker and her company, last seen at the Kennedy Center in 2010, return with Dog Without Feathers (Cão Sem Plumas), October 18-20.
