Pride Films & Plays' next mainstage show is the Chicago premiere of Mark Campbell's musical revue Songs from an Unmade Bed, a love letter to gay men living in the city. Songs From An Unmade Bed is performed by Kevin Webb* and Jordan Phelps*, joined by understudies Jonas Davidow and Tommy Thurston on percussion, and is directed by Derek Van Barham*, under the music direction of Robert Ollis*. Quest Theatre Ensemble captures the magic and adventure of Peter Pan with their own sequel to the original story, The People's Return of Neverland, directed by Andrew Park. The show opens Friday, February 21 at 8:00 p.m. with a press opening on Sunday, February 23 at 2:00 p.m. at The Blue Theater, (On the campus of St. Gregory the Great Church) at 1609 West Gregory (Gregory and Ashland). The Ruckus's follow-up to their Jeff-Recommended production of Facing Angela will be a revamped version of their first Chicago production, Heist Play. Through a workshop and development process in 2013, this production has undergone significant rewrites by playwright Mitch Vermeersch since its 2009 world premiere. It will again be staged by that production's director, Allison Shoemaker, and performed at The Side Project Theater today, October 12- November 10, 2013, the intimate storefront venue where both the play and company began.

Running almost every Wednesday through Sunday between now and April 21, 2013, is a world premiere musical that is certainly worth seeing. It's "Under A Rainbow Flag," with book, music and lyrics by Chicagoan Leo Schwartz, and based on the recollections of the now 91-year-old Jon Phillips, living in retirement in Evanston and present on opening night. The show is running in the Profiles Theatre Main Stage space at 4139 N. Broadway, in Chicago's Buena Park neighborhood, in the Uptown community area.
The Ruckus Theater and Tympanic Theatre Company have announced their upcoming world premiere co-production of Brewed. Developed over the course of 8 years through a series of workshops, the script of Brewed is written by Scott T. Barsotti and directed by Anna C. Bahow. The cast of seven women is a motley crew of Ruckus and Tympanic regulars and Chicago theater favorites. Brewed is performed at Theater Wit (1229 W. Belmont) March 2-24, 2013.
