Jeff Daniels and Michelle Williams will return to Broadway this season to star in David Harrower's Olivier Award-winning drama BLACKBIRD.  The production, to be directed by Joe Mantello, will begin previews Friday, February 5, and open on Thursday, March 10, at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44thStreet).  BLACKBIRD will play an 18-week limited engagement through June 12, 2016.

The producers of the national tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, and Performing Arts Fort Worth announced today that single tickets will go on sale Monday, September 28 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets will be available at the Bass Performance Hall box office (525 Commerce St.), by visiting www.basshall.com, or by calling 817-212-4280. Broadway's new suspense thriller Misery, starring two-time Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe Award winner Bruce Willis and three-time Emmy Award winner Laurie Metcalf, begins performances on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at Broadway's Broadhurst Theatre (235 W 44th Street), and officially opens on Sunday, November 15, 2015, in a strictly limited 16-week engagement. SYLVIA, Broadway's most captivating canine, will be celebrating NATIONAL DOG WEEK with a box office giveaway that both dogs and their human companions can enjoy. Free Sylvia goodies -- including a Sylvia t-shirt, a pop-up drinking bowl, and a product from petsmile -- will be distributed at the box office of the Cort Theatre (138 W. 48th Street) from Monday, September 21 through Saturday, September 26 (10:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. daily) with the purchase of a full-price ticket (Orchestra and Mezzanine seats only).

Back by popular demand, THE BOOK OF MORMON, which played a record breaking run in 2014, is pleased to announce a lottery ticket policy for the National Tour, which begins Tuesday, Sept. 22 at The Smith Center and plays a limited four-week engagement through Sunday, Oct. 18. The production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office, making a limited number tickets available at $25 apiece, including facility fee.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald, who will star next spring in Shuffle Along Or The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed, will take a break from the show next summer. An official show rep commented: 'Due to a pre-existing commitment, Audra McDonald will not appear in Shuffle Along from Tuesday, June 21 to Sunday, September 25, 2016.  Miss McDonald will return to Shuffle Along beginning Tuesday, September 27 and is currently contracted to stay with the production through  Sunday, June 11, 2017.'

Back by popular demand, The Book of Mormon has broken its own house record in Denver, CO for the week ending September 13 at the Ellie grossing $1,585,945.00 for a standard 8-performance week. The Book of Mormon first broke the record the week of August 16, 2015.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Saturday, September 12 for SHUFFLE ALONG Or The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed, the striking new production that presents both the landmark 1921 musical itself, and additionally details the events that catalyzed the songwriting team of Noble Sissle and Eubie Blake, and librettists F.E. Miller and Aubrey Lyles to create this ground-breaking work. 

Single tickets are on sale today for Manhattan Theatre Club's three productions presented as part of the 2015-2016 season at New York City Center - Stage I: Ripcord, the world premiere comedy by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire, directed by Tony and Emmy Award winner David Hyde Pierce; Prodigal Son, the world premiere play written and directed by Tony Award, Pulitzer Prize and Academy Award winner John Patrick Shanley; and the American premiere of Incognito, the new play by Nick Payne, directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes.

In celebration of Sylvia coming to Broadway for the first time since its MTC debut in 1995, patrons who went to the box office between 10am-12pm EST were able to purchase tickets for preview performances for only $19.95 each.
