Giselle, one of the world's most beloved ballets for the past 150 years, will open the 2009-2010 season for the critically acclaimed Nashville Ballet, October 23-25, at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center's James K. Polk Theatre.

Booth, a compelling historical backstage tale by Austin Pendleton, ignites the Heritage Center stage in Morrisville as the Actors' NET of Bucks County dramatizes the true story of Junius Booth, a tormented19th-century actor. His glory would be forgotten, yet son Edwin would win fame as a great actor while his other son, John Wilkes, would win infamy as Lincoln's assassin.

The Shakespeare Society (Michael Sexton, Artistic Director) has announced that Dances with Shakespeare: A Midsummer Night's Dream, a collaboration with the New York City Ballet (NYCB), will take place on Monday, June 8, at 7:00pm at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College, East 68 Street, between Park and Lexington Avenues.
South Coast Repertory will present The Brand New Kid, a musical lesson in tolerance and acceptance, adapted from Emmy Award-winning author Katie Couric's book, as part of its Theatre for Young Audience (TYA) series. Directed by Shelley Butler, with book by Melanie Marnich, music by Michael Friedman and lyrics by both, The Brand New Kid will run May 29 through June 14 on the Julianne Argyros Stage.
