Starry-Eyed: 16 Stories that Steal the Spotlight a performing arts anthology edited by author Ted Michael and talent agent Josh Pultz, was released today, October 8th, from Running Press Kids. No light is as unforgiving as the spotlight, but to be in it while being a teenager is just plain brutal. This collection of fictional short stories by some of today's hottest young adult authors highlight the struggles, hopes, failures, and triumphs of young aspiring singers, dancers, actors, actresses, and performers. Woven throughout the anthology are personal anecdotes from several of today's most celebrated stars of stage, screen, and television.

Tonight, September 30 (7pm), some of Broadway's biggest stars will sing a song or tell their story at an intimate Salon benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS at 210 Central Park South. Among the performers scheduled to appear are Maya Days, Meghann Fahy, Felicia Finley, Jose Llana, Andrea McArdle, N'Kenge, Chris Noth, Kate Shindle, Christopher Sieber and Kevin Spirtas.

Broadway Records/Yellow Sound Label's original Broadway cast recording of the Tony Award-winning MATILDA THE MUSICAL is now available for digital download and will be available at the Shubert Theatre beginning tomorrow, September 27, 2013. Actor Scott Langdon, recently seen in Artistic Director Jesse Cline's acclaimed production of Mame, is searching for the Holy Grail at The Media Theatre September 25 through November 3. He is stepping into the role of King Arthur in Monty Python's Spamalot in the Media Music Theatre Company production.

Patrons will have the opportunity to ask these and other questions on Friday, September 27, after seeing 'The Late Christopher Bean' written by Sidney Howard, who received the Oscar for Best Screen Play for 'Gone with the Wind.'
