Local Theater Company, under the artistic leadership of Pesha Rudnick, kicks off its fifth season of presenting new works in Boulder, Colorado, with the world premiere of The Firestorm by Meridith Friedman. Set during a heated political season, the production begins previews at the new Dairy Arts Center today, October 13. Opening night is set for Sunday, October 16. The show runs through Sunday, November 13.

The Geffen Playhouse announces the cast and creative team of the World Premiere of ICEBERGS, recipient of the Edgerton Foundation New Play Award.

LA Opera will celebrate Halloween with two screenings of the 1922 silent classic Nosferatu, featuring a new score created by Matthew Aucoin, the company's new Artist in Residence. One of the greatest horror films ever made, the supremely creepy vampire thriller will be accompanied live by Mr. Aucoin conducting a chamber ensemble of musicians from the LA Opera Orchestra and soprano soloist Liv Redpath, a member of the company's Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artist Program. Presented as part of the company's Off Grand initiative, the screenings will take place on October 29 and 31 at the Theatre at Ace Hotel.

Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC) kicks off its 16th season with  the world premiere of Evensong written by Christina Quintana and directed by David Mendizabal.

Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Kevin E. Moore are thrilled to announce the cast and creative team for William Shakespeare's bloody tale of unbridled ambition, Macbeth. The Lyric Stage Company of Boston has announced the cast & creative team for its upcoming productionof WARRIOR CLASS by Kenneth Lin (writer, House of Cards), directed by Dawn M. Simmons. Performances are October 21 - November 13, 2016.

There are people who eat and there are those who get eaten. This fall, Arena Stage serves up Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes, a delicious drama about family greed and betrayal. Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe nominee Marg Helgenberger, known for her 12 seasons as Catherine Willows on CBS's CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, stars as Regina Giddens under veteran director Kyle Donnelly, who has directed more than 20 productions at Arena Stage. The Little Foxes runs tonight, September 23, through October 30, 2016 in the Kreeger Theater.

Ambassador Theatre Group and NETworks Presentations LLC recently announced that Laura Michelle Kelly (Anna Leonowens) and Jose Llana (King of Siam) would lead the national tour of the Lincoln Center Theater production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE KING AND I. The tour will launch in Providence, RI at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) October 30-November 6, 2016.

Asolo Repertory Theatre announces that acclaimed actor Jack Willis will portray President Lyndon Baines Johnson in its production of Robert Schenkkan's political drama THE GREAT SOCIETY.
