Brandon O'Neill, currently starring in Disney's Aladdin on Broadway as one of the title character's sidekicks Kassim, will perform the national anthem tonight when the New York Knicks take on the Philadelphia 76ers at Madison Square Garden. Tip off is at 7:30pm.

Casting is complete for the New York City Center Encores! production of Frank Loesser's The Most Happy Fella, running for seven performances, April 2 - 6, 2014.

Disney's Aladdin, a new musical comedy based on the Academy Award®-winning animated film, begins performances at Broadway's New Amsterdam Theatre tomorrow, Wednesday, February 26th, 2014, prior to opening on March 20th. Produced by Disney Theatrical Productions, the show features music by Tony Award® and eight-time Oscar® winner Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Newsies, Sister Act), lyrics by two-time Oscar winner Howard Ashman (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid), three-time Tony Award and three-time Oscar winner Tim Rice (Evita, Aida) and two-time Tony Award nominee Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer), with a book by Beguelin, and is directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon). Lyricist Jordan Beck brings an evening of his work to NYC for one night only tonight, July 22m at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre. At that time, it was announced as well that the should would be announcing new stars and the production would be continuing its run. Now, they have revealed that the show will play its final performance on Saturday, January 26, 2013, after 26 previews and 337 regular performances.

This record-breaking, Tony-nominated production of Tim Rice's and Andrew Lloyd Webber's landmark musical will continue its open-ended run following the original stars' departure. The new stars will be announced at a later date.

EVITA has just cancelled its 2 p.m. performance for tomorrow, Wednesday, October 31, due to Hurricane Sandy.

Beginning Monday, September 3, 2012, Ricky Martin's performance schedule as Che in the hit production of EVITA will be Tuesdays at 7pm, Wednesdays at 2pm & 8pm, Thursdays at 8pm, Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 2pm & 8pm. Max von Essen and Daniel Torres will alternate in the role of Che at Monday evening performances. The schedule change is part of a slight restructuring of Mr. Martin's appearance agreement with producers and will not change his overall number of performances in EVITA.

Producers Hal Luftig and Scott Sanders announced today that the Tony Award Nominated Best Revival of a Musical, Tim Rice's and Andrew Lloyd Webber's EVITA, will launch a first national tour in the fall of 2013 at Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. Casting and additional information will be announced at a later date.
