Jenen, has announced details for their upcoming 2010-11 season, the esteemed downtown theater company's 44th, which will include five Mainstage productions, as well as their popular Special Series.

Jenen, will present two-time Academy Award-winner Dianne Wiest in THE FOREST, by Alexander Ostrovosky, translated by Kathleen Tolan, and directed by Brian Kulick, beginning performances Friday, April 23 at CSC with an official press opening Thursday, May 6 at 7pm. THE FOREST will also star Obie Award-winning actor John Douglas Thompson, who earned great acclaim last year for his title role performance in Othello at Theatre for a New Audience. THE FOREST will play a limited engagement through Sunday May 30 only.

Tony Award-winning actor and LGBT advocate Alan Cumming hosted Live Out Loud's Ninth Annual Young Trailblazers Benefit Gala on Monday, April 26th. More than 500 community leaders attended the event, which will took place at the Chelsea Art Museum. The annual event culminated with the awarding of $2500 scholarships to four high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills. The recipients this year are Eric Multer, Brandyn Brunelle, Chelsea Schade, and John Dargan.

Tony Award-winning actor and LGBT advocate Alan Cumming will host Live Out Loud's Ninth Annual Young Trailblazers Benefit Gala on Monday, April 26th, organizers announced today.

Alan Cumming will soon begin performances of his one man cabaret show at Feinstein's later the month. The New York Post recently sat down with the actor, who is famous for another cabaret role: Cumming starred as the Emcee in the 1998 revival of Cabaret, a role that would prove to be his big break in musical theatre.

The Broad Stage at the Santa Monica College Performing Arts Center announced an expanded season of productions, artists, local discoveries, and new film and performance series. The summer pre-season begins on June 17 with the new musical, DADDY LONG LEGS. The official season kicks off October 7- 9, with an opening weekend of performances and events featuring jazz star, Esperanza Spalding; classical cellist, Lynn Harrell; and folk singer, Judy Collins.

The Broad Stage will be celebrating it's third season with a variety of artists including: F. Murray Abraham, Joshua Bell, Branford Marsalis and Alan Cumming. This new season will also include shows in its Eyde Second Space, which will soon be converted into a '21st Century Cabaret.'
