Angelenos will discover the personal struggles behind the success of world-renown composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky as The Music Center welcomes Eifman Ballet of St. Petersburg's Tchaikovsky on June 23-25, 2017 as part of the Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at The Music Center 2016-2017 season.

Center Theatre Group will provide free workshops to community members at The Shop located at 2856 E. 11th Street in Boyle Heights, 90023. Center Theatre Group staff will teach crafting techniques with activities that range from puppet making to fabric marbling. Upcoming workshops are taking place in May and June.

Bristol Riverside Theatre concludes its 30th Anniversary season with Agatha Christie's Witness for the Prosecution, running May 9-May 28.  Directed by Susan D. Atkinson, the high-voltage thriller by the Queen of Crime drama features an ensemble of professional actors.

Abingdon Theatre Company presents its first musical with the New York premiere of THE BOY WHO DANCED ON AIR, with music by Tim Rosser and book and lyrics by Charlie Sohne, winners of 2015 Jonathan Larson and Mary Rodgers/Lorenz Hart awards. Directed by Abingdon Theatre Company Artistic Director Tony Speciale, THE BOY WHO DANCED ON AIR plays four weeks only, tonight, May 15, through June 11, at the June Havoc Theatre (312 West 36th Street). Opening night is Thursday, May 25 at 7PM.

Michael Ritchie, Artistic Director of Center Theatre Group, today announced two-time Grammy Award-winning recording artist, Academy Award-winning actress and newly announced coach on NBC's 'The Voice' Jennifer Hudson will join Center Theatre Group's 50th Anniversary Celebration performance on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles.

Laguna Playhouse has announced the sixth and final show in the Laguna Playhouse 2016-2017 season, THE ABSOLUTE BRIGHTNESS OF LEONARD PELKEY, written and performed by James Lecesne with music by Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening) and directed by Tony Speciale.

The Actors Fund announced today that Bryan Batt will host the 21st Annual Tony Awards Viewing Party honoring Tony Award winning actress and recording artist Betty Buckley on Sunday, June 11, 2017 (3:30-8:00pm) at Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles.
