Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents UNCIVIL In Concert. The original folk rock/Bluegrass-infused musical comedy, previously know as Bayonets of Angst, returns to NYC after an acclaimed sellout run at the 2015 Adirondack Theatre Festival. Originally presented by the New York Musical Theatre Festival under Executive Director & Producer, Dan Markley, UNCIVIL won rave reviews for its 2014 NYMF run and received four Excellence Awards including Best Book, Best Ensemble Performance, and Outstanding Individual Performance for Brian Charles Rooney and J. Robert Spencer.

he Public Theaterannounced complete casting today for the new musical SOUTHERN COMFORT that tells the true story of a group of transgender friends living life on their own terms in the back hills of rural Georgia. Directed by Thomas Caruso and based on the film by Kate Davis, SOUTHERN COMFORT features book and lyrics by Dan Collins and music by Julianne Wick Davis, and was conceived for the stage by Robert DuSold and Thomas Caruso. SOUTHERN COMFORT begins previews on Tuesday, February 23 and will run through Sunday, March 27 in The Public's Anspacher Theater, with an official press opening on Monday, March 7. The National New Play Network, the country's alliance of nonprofit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, announced its 2015-16 grant recipients, including the Smith Prize for Political Theatre, the 2015 Annual Commission, two Playwright Residencies, five Producer Residencies, and two Collaboration Fund awards that will support partnership between eight of its members on two productions. In all, NNPN committed over $125,000 to fourteen Core Member Theaters and nine Affiliated Artists.
