An exhibition of works by Haile King Rubie, a 26-year-old Harlem artist with Down Syndrome, will inaugurate the Clara Francis Gallery, a new Harlem art spot, July 27 to August 17, 2016. The exhibition, 'Haile King Rubie: Speaking Colors,' is primarily drawn from Rubie's 'art waves' of 2013 and 2015 and features contemplations of his otherwise inaccessible inner world. The new gallery space, located at 2070 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd., is a welcome addition to Harlem's art district.

Marc Bamuthi Joseph's Black Joy in the Hour of Chaos is a cycle of musical, dance and spoken word poetry performances that evoke "black joy." Invoking the history of Harlem, the legacy of hip-hop, the Great Migration, New Orleans 'second line' parades and contemporary racial politics, Joseph has composed a vibrant and participatory performance that activates and engages community, congregating regularly under a parachute-turned-revival-tent for moments of intimate performance and celebration. Linzi Hateley returns to the role of Donna Sheridan in the global smash hit musical MAMMA MIA! at London's Novello Theatre from Monday 13 June 2016. This is a role she has played twice before in London - from 2007-2009 and in 2010. Her other recent theatre credits include the national tour of Barnum, London Road (National Theatre) and Les Miserables (Queen's Theatre). Linzi also appeared in the film version of London Road.

?'Sugar Ray,' the new bioplay by Laurence Holder about Sugar Ray Robinson, was visited Sunday, March 27 by the son of the famed boxing champion, Ray Robinson II. The younger Robinson, who was enthusiastic about the play on his father, is co-author, with Herb Boyd, of the book 'Pound for Pound,' a biography of Sugar Ray Robinson, which was published by Harper Collins in 2006.
