Rubicon Theatre Company Presents The Final Play in Arlene Hutton's 'Nibroc Trilogy'

Rubicon Theatre Company presents GULF VIEW DRIVE , the third and final play in Arlene Hutton's Nibroc Trilogy, directed by Indy award-winning Katharine Farmer with the same cast reprising their critically-acclaimed roles from the Los Angeles Times "Critic's Choice" productions of Last Train to Nibroc and last season's See Rock City. Lily Nicksay ("Boy Meets World"/The Wild Duck at A Noise Within) and Erik Odom("The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2"/Sons of the Prophet at The Blank) return as May and Raleigh, along with See Rock City featured cast membersClarinda Ross (Spit Like a Big Girl/Steel Magnolias) and Sharon Sharth (Waiting for Grace/ member of Actors Studio and Circle Rep in New York). Joining the cast is returning Rubicon artist Faline England (Crimes of the Heart (Indy Award)/Turn of the Screw (Ovation Nomination).

Memory Play ORANGE JULIUS Begins Previews Tonight Off-Broadway

A friendly reminder! Previews begin tonight, January 10, at 8:00pm for Rattlestick Playwrights Theater and Page 73's New York premiere of Basil Kreimendahl's memory play about a transmasculine child and their dying Vietnam vet father. Orange Julius, directed by Dustin Wills, will run at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, 224 Waverly Place, and opens Sunday, January 22, at 8:00pm.

Rivendell Theatre Ensemble Presents the World Premiere of WINTER by Julie Jensen

Rivendell Theatre Ensemble (RTE), Chicago's only Equity theatre dedicated to producing new work with women at the core, announces the world premiere of Winter by Julie Jensen. The production, co-directed by RTE members Megan Carney and Mark Ulrich,runs January 7 - February 11, 2017, at Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, 5779 N. Ridge Avenue in Chicago.  The press opening is Monday, January 16, 2017 at 7:00pm.

Iconic Classic Drama A DOLL'S HOUSE to Begin This Winter at the Huntington

The Huntington Theatre Company presents the iconic classic drama A Doll's House, by Henrik Ibsen, adapted by Bryony Lavery, and directed by Boston favorite Melia Bensussen (Awake and Sing!, Luck of the Irish, and Circle Mirror Transformation at the Huntington). Performances run January 6 - February 5, 2017 at the Avenue of the Arts / BU Theatre.

Huntington Theatre Co. Announces Special Events in Conjunction with Iconic Classic Drama A DOLL'S HOUSE

In conjunction with its upcoming production of A Doll's House the Huntington Theatre Company will host a number of special events and post-show conversations. Admission to onsite post-show events is free with a ticket to A Doll's House, available at huntingtontheatre.org/adollshouse by phone at 617 266 0800, or in person at the BU Theatre (264 Huntington Avenue) and Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA (527 Tremont Street) box offices. Cornerstone Theater Company Presents FELLOWSHIP

Cornerstone Theater Company is pleased to present fellowship, a play for volunteers. fellowship is the story of volunteers giving their time at a local food bank when an unwanted stranger, Hunger, pays them a visit. The eighth play in Cornerstone's Hunger Cycle, fellowship is a performance that immerses the audience into the role of volunteer. At fellowship, you will be invited to help prepare and assemble sack lunches to be distributed to hungry people in Los Angeles.

Mark St. Germain's solo play about celebrity sex therapist Dr. Ruth Westheimer received it's World Premiere at Barrington Stage Company in June 2012. The production was met with much success and went out to play at TheatreWorks Hartford before moving to New York. In October of 2013, Becoming Dr. Ruth received its Off-Broadway premiere at the Westside Theatre. Actress Debra Jo Rupp, who originated the role Off-Broadway, received both Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award Nominations for her portrayal of Dr. Ruth.

Actors Theatre to Launch the New Year with LADY DAY AT EMERSON'S BAR AND GRILL

Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Kevin E. Moore are delighted to announce the cast and creative team for Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill. This commanding and moving play, written by Lanie Robertson, directed by Bill Fennelly and featuring Deidrie Henry as Billie Holiday, is set in the intimate atmosphere of the Bingham Theatre.

Akvavit Theatre Announces New Artistic Leadership; Associate Company Members

Akvavit Theatre, Chicago's premier Nordic Theatre Company, will launch 2017 with new artistic leadership and an expanded ensemble. Five year Akvavit veterans Kirstin Franklin and Breahan Pautsch will serve as the company's new Co-Artistic Directors, succeeding Artistic Director Chad Eric Bergman and Managing Artistic Director Bergen Anderson, who have served since 2009. Bergman and Anderson will remain with Akvavit as Founders and as part of the original company, which still includes Mark Litwicki and Matthew Isler. Additionally, Akvavit welcomes eight new Associate company members: Richard Gilbert, Joe Giovannetti, Sarah Giovannetti, Nigel Harsch, Paulette Hicks, Micah Kronlokken, Julie Mitre and Amber Robinson.
