New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players, America's preeminent professional Gilbert & Sullivan repertory company, continues its exhilarating 2017-18 Season on Saturday, April 14 (2PM) with its spring offering, Ruddigore, at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College (East 68th Street between Park & Lexington Avenues). Scenic designer Albere has been working overtime putting finishing touches on the scenery for the production design paying homage to the iconic illustrator Edward Gorey. Ruddigore will play a strictly limited engagement April 14 & 15 with a family bonus, Family Overture Series on Sunday, April 15th at 1:45PM.

The global smash hit musical MAMMA MIA! is celebrating the show's 19th birthday in London today, Friday 6 April, by opening a new booking period from Monday 22 October 2018 to Saturday 2 March 2019. The cast celebrated with a birthday cake on stage at London's Novello Theatre.

This riotous reinterpretation of one of Shakespeare's best loved plays is given a unique and irreverent twist and features original live music. Following the production's hugely successful run at both the Lyric Hammersmith and Royal Exchange Manchester in 2012, the production was revived in 2016 at the Lyric and then toured to Brisbane Festival and Dublin Theatre Festival. This new tour will visit Hull, Clwyd, Southampton, Exeter, Oxford, Doncaster and Cambridge.

Groove With Me's annual benefit, Tap & Tapas, will take place on Wednesday, April 25 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will include a walk around tasting of New York's top chefs and restaurants. Trinity Repertory Company is proud to announce the commission of a number of new playwrights and artists, including George Brant to write the stage version of The New York Times bestseller The Prince of Providence: The Life and Times of Buddy Cianci, America's Most Notorious Mayor, Some Wiseguys, and the Feds by Mike Stanton. Trinity Rep obtained the underlying rights to the book from Stanton and subsequently commissioned Brant to create a play or musical adaptation. The resulting script will go through a series of workshops to prepare it for production on the Trinity Rep stage in a future season. Casting will be announced at a future date. The book, which came out in 2004, examines the life and notorious political story of Buddy Cianci, the two-term mayor whose corruption led to federal investigations.
