Winter Park Playhouse Opens Season with Tribute to Classics! ImageThe Winter Park Playhouse steps into their new season with a tribute to classic musical theatre in their professional production of Some Enchanted Evening:The Songs Of Rodgers and Hammerstein running July 28 through August 20. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30p.m., Thursday and Saturday matinees at 2p.m. and select Friday and Sunday matinees at 2p.m.

Specially priced preview performances are on Thursday July 27 at 7:30p.m. and Friday July 28 at 2p.m. ?This beautiful musical revue celebrates the composing giants of musical theatre, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. Audiences will be treated to a show brimming with well-loved classic songs,written by the famous songwriting duo, that have forever defined the musical theatre genre.

The evening will feature 34 iconic melodies from Carousel, The King and I, Oklahoma, South Pacific, The Sound of Music and more! The professional cast includes powerhouse vocalists - Natalie Cordone, Dustin Cunningham, Kevin Kelly, Heather Kopp, and Monica Titus - all of whom are veterans to the musical theatre stage. Playhouse Artistic Director Roy Alan will direct and choreograph and Playhouse Musical Director Christopher Leavy will music direct the production. The Playhouse trio will accompany with Mr. Leavy on piano, Sam Forrest on percussion and Ned Wilkinson on multiple instruments. "We are thrilled to kick off of our new season with a tribute to the classics. Don't miss the fabulous voices performing the most beloved songs of the stage! Book early, this one will sell fast!" confirms Roy Alan, Playhouse Artistic Director.

Ticket prices are $42 evenings, $39 senior evenings, $32 matinees, $20 preview, $15 student and theatrical industry professionals. Student rush "$10@10" offers $10 tickets (for students 25 years and younger) 10 minutes prior to a performance when seats are available.
