Spark Movement Collective Presents ALICE IN WONDERLAND
Dance company Spark Movement Collective will once again perform its modern-day interpretation of Alice in Wonderland on Saturday, March 2nd at The Town School on Manhattan's Upper East Side.
Breathing new life into the literary classic, Spark's Alice in Wonderland follows Victorian-era Alice as she travels through the rabbit hole to find herself in present day New York City. As Alice encounters tourists, a sea of iPhones, tea drinking street vendors, and other curiosities, the show examines how one person's perception of "normal" might be weird and zany to another. Having first premiered at BAX/Brooklyn Arts Exchange in March 2016, the production features choreography by Artistic Director Chelsea Koenig and direction by Assistant Artistic Director Matt Dittes.
Alice in Wonderland tickets may be purchased in advance for $10 on Spark's website and will also be available 30 minutes prior to each performance for $15. The production is suitable for all ages.
March 2nd, 2pm & 4pm
