New York Society for Ethical Culture Presents MARX IN SOHO 3/6
Please join us on Saturday, March 6 at 7:30pm at New York Society for Ethical Culture (2 West 64th Street @ Central Park West) for a special tribute performance of MARX IN SOHO, in honor of the radical historian Howard Zinn (1922-2010).
Written by Zinn, MARX IN SOHO is a witty and insightful answer to the question, "If Karl Marx could see the world today, what would he say?" The evening will be hosted by Amy Goodman, New York Times best-selling author and host of Democracy Now! The one man show will be performed by teacher, actor, and activist, Brian Jones who has performed this piece throughout the country. Howard Zinn is best known for his book, A People's History of the United States. Zinn's writing and activism has left an indelible mark on our understanding of U.S. history. His most recent work is the acclaimed documentary The People Speak.
