The interNational Theatre Company BITE (Brooklyn Innovative Theatre Experience) will present its first independent full-length production Prom Night of the Living Dead -- an interactive horror play equal parts John Hughes and George Romero - opening Thursday, August 18 at 8pm and running three weeks, Thursday - Sunday, until Sunday, September 4 at 2pm at The Players Theatre (115 MacDougal St, NYC). Tickets available at www.livingdeadprom.com. For more information, email bitetheatrenyc@gmail.com.

Prom Night of the Living Dead transports its audience back to an authentic 1962 prom as they join the ill-fated high school students in dancing, drinking, and subsequently getting attacked by flesh eating zombies. It is altogether entertaining, exciting, sentimental, and terrifying as you are tossed into what feels like a live-action horror film experience. Hone up on your zombie survival skills because (!)spoiler alert(!) not everyone will make it out alive! The historic Players Theatre is home to the show and is also host to such horror-themed entertainment as the Shortened Attention Span Horror Festival and thriller, Play Dead. BITE's Prom Night of the Living Dead will run for three weeks starting August 18 through September 4. Tickets on sale now at www.livingdeadprom .com
"During the interactive, Tony n' Tina-style performance, patrons are invited to do the hokey pokey-with zombies."
-"Celebrate Halloween," Time Out New York, 10-18-2010

"PROM NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD gives an idea of what would have happened if zombies invaded the flicks of John Hughes. And you're a character! That is, if you can manage to make it through the evening alive."
-"Prom Night of the Living Dead: Celebrate Halloween at a Zombie Prom," Culture Mob, 10-17-2010

Brooklyn/Beijing Innovative Theatre Experience (BITE) is an interNational Theatre Company based in New York and Beijing. Our mission is to cross cultural boundaries through groundbreaking new works of theatre as well as inventive productions of classics that touch upon themes of culture, identity, and diversity. We accomplish this mission through coordinated development and realization of workshops, festivals, and productions held in both cities, i.e. workshop development of an original play in Beijing culminating in its production in New York, or vice versa. We invite creators, artists, and audiences of all nationalities, backgrounds, and generations to share with us a performance experience unique to the theatre!
