Theatre for a New Audience Celebrates Shakespeare's Birthday with Special KING LEAR Performance Tonight

Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA), New York's pre-eminent classical theatre company, will celebrate the Bard's 450th birthday with a special performance of its critically acclaimed production of KING LEAR, featuring Michael Pennington in a cast of 22.

Tonight, April 23, 2014, audience members can see the show for the discounted price of only $50 with code BARDBDAY. Following the performance, audience members are invited to join the cast of KING LEAR for post-show celebration in our lobby. All audience members will receive a TFANA tote bag, a complimentary drink, and the theatre's bar will be open for food, wine, beer and beverage purchases.

KING LEAR, directed by Arin Arbus, plays at Polonsky Shakespeare Center (262 Ashland Place, Brooklyn), TFANA's first permanent home, conveniently located steps away from BAM, Mark Morris Dance Center, Barclays Center and accessible by every major subway line, the LIRR and Citibike.

Tickets for Shakespeare's Birthday Celebration are $50 with code BARDBDAY, and can be purchased online at www.tfana.org, by phone at 866-811-4111, or in person at the Theatre for a New Audience Box Office (262 Ashland Place, Brooklyn.) Box office hours are Tuesday through Saturday 1:00pm to 6:00pm.

New Deal tickets for ages 30 and under or full-time students of any age are priced at $20. Proof of age or student ID required for each ticket purchased.
