THE DOOPLES IN THE LAND OF DOO - THE MUSICAL Returns to New York Tonight

Dr. Lynn Hunter, an established early childhood educator and the writer and producer of the acclaimed children's show THE DOOPLES IN THE LAND OF DOO - THE MUSICAL! announced that the show will return to the New York stage for a limited engagement at the renowned Cherry Lane Theatre, 38 Commerce St., NYC from tonight, December 16 - 20, 2015.

After its original sold-out run at the 2014 Midwinter Madness Short Play Festival on Broadway last March, the show generated impressive reviews.

Lynn collaborated with composer Charles Mandracchia, (Valentino the Musical), who is credited as Director/Composer/graphic artist and co-developer, to create this motivational, live theatrical event that makes learning fun and exciting for young children. Mr. Mandracchia has Broadway experience as an actor and singer in Grand Hotel - the Musical, South Pacific, and the New York City Opera Company.

The Dooples are a colorful, friendly group of writing tools that live in the Land of Doo and come to life in the land of Doo. Together, they share many adventures and experiences through which children empower themselves with their own imagination and personify the conviction that "to learn is to do and to do is to learn."

"I am so excited to bring The Dooples back to New York and to welcome everyone - both those who are familiar with the Dooples books to see it in this format and those who are not familiar with the Dooples to meet them for the first time live on-stage," said Dr. Hunter.

In the cast are: Scott Gunner, Caitlin Grace Bennett, Mary Baynard, Danny Smith, Stav Livne, Ashley St. Juliette, Krisen Islas, Zachary Harris Martin, David S.Curtis and Megan Lang, with lighting designer and musical director, Mitch Marcus.

Tickets for THE DOOPLES IN THE LAND OF DOO - THE MUSICAL are available for performances on Wednesday and Thursday, December 16th and 17th at10:30 noon, Friday, December 18th at 12:00 noon and 4:30 pm, Saturday, December 19th at 12:00 noon, 3:30 pm and 7:00 pm and Sunday, December 20th at 12:00 noon and 3:30 pm.
