Ripple Effect Artists and its producer, Jessie Fahay, believe that art should do more than imitate life; it should help it ... even save it. Each production in their repertoire serves as a parable for a situation in the world today that demands our attention.

Ripple Effect's presentation of Mark Schultz's DEATHBED serves to shine a strong light on the sad state of affairs surrounding the American healthcare system.

Deathbed depicts the plight of nine characters dealing with - or preparing for - the end. Multiple stories including a woman with terminal cancer and her loved ones forced to witness it. All are immersed in the guilt of choosing their own suffering above others. What they all have in common is that nobody else gives a damn.

Influenced by the ObamaCare battle and a recent healthcare poll showing United States efficiency far down on the list, Ripple Effect Artists presents a pivotal production raising awareness in the need for a more thorough and compassionate system for one of the most essential human needs. As is tradition, Ripple Effect Artists will donate a significant percentage of box office proceeds to Gilda's Club of NYC [www.gildasclubnyc.org] in the hopes that the efforts of these artists will create ... a ripple effect.
