Photos: Fiasco Theater Hosts First Ever Fundraising Gala

Fiasco Theater held its first ever Fundraising Gala, called Tis a Gift: A Very Merry Fiasco Fundraiser. See photos from the production.

The event took place Monday night, December 4th at the DUMBO Loft in Brooklyn, and was a joyful evening of games, revelry, and connecting with others. The evening raised money for Fiasco’s programs and productions, including their affordable Conservatory training program, full productions, works in development and access initiatives. 

The Very Merry Fiasco Fundraiser was directed by co-Artistic Directors Ben Steinfeld, Noah Brody, and Jessie Austrian, and included signature cocktails designed by Joe Minchik, dinner, musical performances, poetry readings, and a raffle with a twist. The evening also included rousing games of Jenga, Bananagrams (run by Andy Grotelueschen), tarot readings, Fiasco branded temporary tattoos and fair-trade bean-to-bar chocolate as party favors. The evening concluded with dessert and a raucous dance party. 

Performers included Jessie Austrian (Fiasco’s Cymbeline & Into the Woods), Royer Bockus (Fiasco’s Knight of the Burning Pestle) Noah Brody (Fiasco’s Merrily We Roll Along, CSC’s As You Like It), Paul L. Coffey (“Blue Bloods,” Fiasco’s Cymbeline), Jason Cohen (Great Balls of Fire), Tony Award nominee Andy Grotelueschen (Tootsie, CSC’s Assassins), Devin E. Haqq (Fiasco’s Measure for Measure & Knight of the Burning Pestle), Ben Steinfeld (Fiasco’s Into the Woods, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), Paco Tolson (Vietgone, Fiasco and CSC’s Twelfth Night), Tatiana Weschler (Mr. Saturday Night, Penelope), and Emily Young (Fiasco’s Cymbeline, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson).
