Photo Flash: First Look at THE KING OF CHELM, Starting This Week at the Kraine Theatre
Back by popular demand for a strictly limited engagement, the FolksbieneRU and Lost & Found Project are proud to announce to return of the family musical THE KING OF CHELM this November. THE KING OF CHELM is written by Boris Zilberman and directed by the acclaimed Israeli actor/director Gera Sandler. The production features original score by composer Dmitri "Zisl" Slepovitch, with arrangement by Alex Ryaboy. Stage and multimedia design by L2CoLAB. THE KING OF CHELM will run from November 14 - 29, 2015 at the Kraine Theatre (85 East 4thStreet, NYC). BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!
THE KING OF CHELM tells a story of a boy who dreams about becoming a super-hero. One day he wakes to find himself in a magical world where he learns what it is to be brave. In the upside-down and backwards universe of this small shtetl, Aaron together with the fools and the wise men of Chelm is going on a journey to find out what it really means to be a hero. THE KING OF CHELM is an interactive performance for audiences ages 4-12. There is an interactive workshops following each show.
Cast includes Tirosh Schneider (NY: Austin's Dog Bread), Elena Levenson (Iphigenia and Other Daughters), Larissa Copetti (Alone in the US), Boris Zilberman (TV "Mysteries at the Monument"), Clemmie Evans (NY: The New Morality), Sergey Nagorny (TV: "The Americans"), Jonathan Smith(Film: Mooz-Lum). Creative team includes: Set & costume design by Luba Proger, Leonid Khanin of L2coLAB.
