Two years ago, New York's downtown wunderkind director/choreographer, Jen Wineman, assembled a fearless creative team whose exhilarating result is an original new musical entitled Roller Disco The Musical! which will have its Pre-New York Tryout at OBERON (2 Arrow Street, Cambridge Massachusetts) one of the most cutting-edge-aware theaters in the country.

The unauthorized parody of Roller Boogie, the classic film that inspired a generation, for like five minutes, will have its World Premiere on Wednesday, June 13. The Boston engagement is limited through Thursday, August 30. The musical is aiming for a Spring 2013 Off-Broadway Opening. Get a first look at ROLLER DISCO below!

Hypnotic music. Revolutionary script. Rock-hard bodies. Venice Beach sunsets. Bel Air bitches. Star-crossed lovers. Olympic aspirations. Double axels. Triple lutzes. Bad guys. Good girls. Car chases. Makeout sessions. California dreamin'. Lust and Longing. An army of 18 year-olds on wheels. And the adults who want to put on the brakes. This is laced-up love. This is the Seventies.

Written by Sam Forman and Ms. Wineman, Roller Disco The Musical! has been scored by Mr. Forman (Lyrics) and Eli Bolin (Music). James O'Leary is the Musical Director. The design team includes Dan Jentzen (Lighting/Video), Aaron Mack (Sound), Melissa Trn (Costumes) and Victor Yambao (Props). OBERON is presenting the new musical in association with the Ministry of Theater. Pablo Rojas is the Executive Producer.
