PS122 Postpones BERMUDA, Originally Slated To Run 5/30-6/13

Originally slated to be presented by Performance Space 122 from May 30 - June 13, Adrienne Truscott's bermuda has been indefinitely postponed due to unanticipated delays in the PS122 Building construction and renovation project.

bermuda is intimately connected to the PS122 Building; in it Ms. Truscott and her compatriots, Neal Medlyn and Carmine Covelli, are to occupy every conceivable space within and around the downstairs theater and take the audience with them - from 9th street exteriors to the courtyard.

With great sadness Performance Space 122 and Adrienne decided together that bermuda must be put on hold until PS122 is able to provide access to areas that remain off-limits due to their temporary designation as construction site. bermuda is designed to be an investigation of these spaces, their evolution, and our changing relationships to them; without such access, the integrity of the piece is fundamentally compromised

Ms. Truscott has a unique relationship with the PS122 Building, having once re-created the entire upstairs theater, pillars and all, when genesis, no! was remounted at Dance Theater Workshop after its PS122 premiere. The fact that bermuda is so deeply connected to the PS122 Building and its transformation will make for an especially timely and meaningful experience when it premieres at PS122.
