The award-winning Vital Theatre Company has announced its 2016 fall/winter season of musicals for children and families, performed by adults.

PINKALICIOUS, THE MUSICAL, now in its 9th year, continues playing Sundays at 1:00 pm through August 28, and will play at 11:00 am on selected Saturdays and Sundays from September 10 through October 30. STINKYKIDS, THE MUSICAL will play Saturdays and Sundays at 1:00 pm from September 24 through November 5, and FANCY NANCY: SPLENDIFEROUS CHRISTMAS will play Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm, November 12 through December 31, including additional performances over Christmas break.

In PINKALICIOUS, THE MUSICAL, Pinkalicious can't stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. Her pink indulgence lands her at the doctor's office with Pinkititis, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe - a dream come true for this pink loving enthusiast. But when her hue goes too far, only Pinkalicious can figure out a way to get out of this predicament. With book by Elizabeth Kann and Victoria Kann, and music and lyrics by John Gregor.

StinkyKid Britt never gets in trouble and loves making everyone happy! She's convinced her parents to take her friends Max, Hannah, Jen, Johnny, and Billy to the opening of the new MegaJumper 3000. But when Britt gets a massive wad of gum stuck in her hair, she must rely on her friends to help her get out of the sticky situation before her parents find out and cancel the trip! STINKYKIDS, THE MUSICAL is based on the award-winning StinkyKids books and StinkyKids characters: little stinKers who learn to make right choices through their childhood mistakes and live by the motto "Always be a leader of good." With book and lyrics by Sammy Buck and music by Daniel S. Acquisto, the musical is based on the books by Britt Menzies.

FANCY NANCY: SPLENDIFEROUS CHRISTMAS. What could be fancier than Christmas? Presents with elegant wrapping paper, festive decorations, Christmas cookies with sprinkles - and who could forget the tree? After all, there is no such thing as too much tinsel. Ooh la la! This year, Nancy is especially excited. After selling some of her old gowns and accessories, Nancy has enough money to buy a brand-new sparkly tree topper. She can't wait to decorate the Christmas tree. But when things don't turn out the way Nancy planned, will Christmas still be splendiferous? Based on the New York Times bestselling picture book by Jane O'Connor with illustrations by Robin Preiss Glasser, with book by Cara Lustik and Matthew Hardy, music by Randy Klein and lyrics by Matthew Hardy.

Vital Theatre Company is dedicated to producing entertaining and educational theatre for young audiences and commissions three to five musicals for children each season.
