Moldy Fig Offers Chance to Name NYMF Musical
The most knowledgeable theater aficionados know that the biggest hit musicals often have the most original, concise titles. Musicals such as Chicago, West Side Story and Next To Normal all have names that are as timeless as the story, music, and lyrics themselves. With that in mind, Moldy Fig Productions, producer of The Last Word, is offering the musical theater consumer the chance of a lifetime: to name a prospective hit musical!
A 2011 Next Link Finalist and an Invited Show at this year's New York Musical Theater Festival, the
show currently has a Working Title of The Last Word. But the creative team is looking for a name that pops right off the page while capturing the essence of its moving story, swinging music and jazzy style! Go to www.nymf.org/thelastword and thelastwordmusical.com to read about the story, listen to the music, and learn more about the creative team. The winner of the contest will receive a pair of free tickets to the show!
To enter, just post your title idea on our Twitter or Facebook page! On Twitter, follow us at
LastWordMusical and hash tag #RenameLastWord with the entry. On Facebook, simply post the
title on The Last Word fan page.
The "Naming a NYMF Production" Contest starts on July 5th, 2011 and ends on July 11th, 2011.
